About
The Index connects assets, listings, ownership, market evidence and buyer demand around one persistent AIX identity.
Alternative assets deserve the same shared identity, evidence and market context that liquid markets have always had. That's the infrastructure we're building, one verified record at a time.
Alternative asset markets are fragmented. Listings, ownership, price evidence and demand all live in separate systems that rarely talk to each other. Buyers struggle to compare a genuine price against real market context. Owners struggle to understand where, or whether, a route to market even exists for what they hold.
AIX connects an asset's listings, ownership records, evidence and demand into one persistent identity: the same infrastructure whether it's a cask, a watch, a car or a diamond.

One identity and discovery layer connecting assets, listings, ownership, demand and market evidence, so the same real-world item stays recognisable wherever it's listed, and a buyer can check real evidence before deciding, not just a seller's word.
Approved professional sources. Every listing appears only after source, category and platform checks are satisfied: never scraped, never fabricated.
Persistent asset identity. Every registered asset carries a persistent AIX identifier, so it stays one recognisable record wherever it appears, rather than a new disconnected listing each time.
Evidence over claims. Every valuation carries an explicit confidence tier, verified sale, estimated comparable, or estimated trend, never presented as more certain than the data supports.
Direct transactions, except whisky casks. For every listing except whisky casks, sales happen directly between buyer and seller, or on the merchant’s own site. We are never in the middle of that payment. Whisky casks we sell as principal, sourced from our supplier at the point of sale — there, we are the seller and Stripe processes that payment through our own account.
Transparent reward eligibility. Where a referral reward exists, the listing itself is the only authoritative answer, never a guess, never guaranteed.
The Index began with whisky casks, where fragmented records, opaque resale routes and inconsistent ownership processes made a broader problem obvious: valuable physical assets often lack a shared identity and transparent market context, which makes them harder to trust, harder to value, and harder to move than they should be.
That problem is not unique to whisky. The same gap exists across watches, jewellery, collector cars, handbags, trading cards, wine, precious metals, rare coins, memorabilia, yachts, aircraft and fine art: different assets, the same missing infrastructure. We built The Index Registry to bring one standard to the wider alternative asset market: verified records, transparent evidence, direct transactions.
Verification is evidence-based and limited to what can actually be checked. It confirms what we were able to check, not future value, resale timing, buyer demand, or a warranty beyond the specific method used. See our sourcing partner vetting policy for the full detail on what we check and how to report a concern.
