Intellectual property and takedown

We respect the rights of brands, retailers, photographers and creators.
Product content
Product names, descriptions and images come from retailers' own feeds, under licences the retailers give us. Brand names and logos belong to their owners. They are used only to identify genuine products sold by those retailers, and never to suggest a brand endorses The Index Registry.
If you think something infringes your rights
Email toby@theindexregistry.com with "IP notice" in the subject, including:
- your name and contact details, and whether you're the rights holder or acting for them;
- the work or mark you believe is infringed;
- the exact page address of the content;
- why you believe it infringes;
- a statement that the information in your notice is accurate, and that you're authorised to act.
What we do
- We acknowledge notices within 2 working days.
- Where the notice is clear and complete, we remove or disable the content quickly, usually within 2 working days, and tell the retailer or user who supplied it.
- If they believe the removal was a mistake, they can send us a counter-notice with their reasons. We'll consider it, and may restore the content if the complaint is unfounded.
- We remove content from anyone who repeatedly infringes others' rights, and may stop listing them.
