Alcohol policy

  • Who can view wine: wine listings are for adults. You'll be asked to confirm you're 18 or over, or older where your local law requires, before you can view them. We remember your answer with a cookie.
  • Wine and Earn: wine from other retailers is not part of Earn. You can't share wine listings for rewards, and we never show reward amounts on wine listings.
  • How we present it:
    • we don't use imagery or wording that appeals to under-18s, links alcohol with social or sexual success, or encourages excessive drinking;
    • we don't present alcohol as an investment.
  • Buying: you buy from the retailer, which carries out its own age checks at checkout and on delivery.
  • Whisky casks: sold on The Whisky Index, not on The Index Registry. Approved ambassadors aged 21 or over may share them under the ambassador agreement. On The Index Registry, casks are described in text only, without images.
  • Responsible drinking: for advice, visit drinkaware.co.uk.
