This supplement adds to, and never replaces, the Cask Sale Agreement. It applies only to a whisky cask purchase by a buyer residing in the United States.
This supplement applies only to an order placed by a buyer residing in the United States, in addition to, and never replacing, the Cask Sale Agreement. You are buying one whole cask of Scotch whisky to own and enjoy. THE WHISKY INDEX LTD (company number 17216416, registered office 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ) sells casks as goods to keep, not as a financial product, and does not claim or promise any future price for it.
Your payment is an order for this specific cask. Ownership passes to you only when Castlelaw records you as the owner in its register. If that can't be completed, you'll receive a full refund. We never substitute a different cask for US orders. If anything we send you ever differs from Castlelaw's register, Castlelaw's register is the official record.
We never substitute a different cask for a US order. If the specific cask you ordered cannot be transferred to you for any reason, you receive a full refund instead, automatically.
If Castlelaw can't register you as owner, or the cask can't be transferred for any reason, you'll get a full refund automatically. We never offer a substitute cask to US buyers.
Storage keeps your cask safe in the warehouse; neither we nor Castlelaw manage it to make money for you.
Storage and insurance at Castlelaw are included for your first year. From your second year they cost £100 a year per cask.
We don't buy casks back, find buyers for you, or help with reselling. As the registered owner, you're free to arrange things yourself, but nothing about this purchase includes any service to sell it on your behalf.
Bottling your cask, and bringing whisky into the United States, are separate, later choices you make yourself, through licensed providers. They are not included in this purchase, and can cost as much as or more than the cask itself.
We only sell to residents of US states where we currently offer casks, and only to buyers who are 21 or over. Both are checked before your order can be accepted, and either changing means we cannot complete your order.
